Birmingham Hamfest

The Alabama Historical Radio Society annually participates in the Birmingham Amateur Radio Society Hamfest. The AHRS provides a display on various radio themes, as well as contributing  to the educational forum each year. BARC also administers the FCC Amateur licensing testing at the event. Please check out the Birmingham Amateur Radio Club (BARC) website at https://www.w4cue.com for details.

Welcome to the Birmingham DX Club

The Birmingham DX Club is a group of amateur radio operators in and near Birmingham, Alabama who are passionate about contacting all of the countries of the world on the amateur bands.

Most of our members have the ARRL's DXCC Award for confirming contacts with at least 100 DXCC entities ("countries"), with some having earned DXCC Honor Roll status.

The Birmingham DX Club meets on the third Monday of each month at the Alabama Historical Radio Society shop in downtown Birmingham at 6:30 p.m. local time.  See Meeting Information for details.

Anyone interested in DXing or learning more about it are welcome, and at present, there are no membership dues.

The Birmingham DX Club is an ARRL-affiliated club.

The President of the Birmingham DX Club is Dave Cisco, W4AXL.
